New Fairfield High Visit
Published by
I told the New Fairfield guys that I ran with that the first thing I would mention was that they took me on the hardest run I have been on yet with a team. This isn't posing a challenge to any other schools, mind you all, it is just a statement. Located up in the hills of New Fairfield CT New Fairfield had not only the hardest run, but some of the nicest facilities I have seen. Oh yeah, the kids were cool too. But seriously, the team was great. The guys team and I went for a hilly run, although not intentionally, seemingly most of their runs are hilly. At the end of the run the team ran over to one of their friends houses and jumped in their pool to cool off before finishing up the last few minutes to the school. After our adventure we went back to the high school where the team and I watched some old NTN videos, did the trivia thing and just kind of hung out around the back of my truck, which we had managed to back up a hill to be right next to the track, out for a while. It was a great visit and I am really starting to like the state of Connecticut. It should also be noted the the New Fairfield High guys were the most patriotic team I have ever visited, but in their own unique way. Thanks again guys for the hellish hilly run, it made be a better person. My next stop is to meet with a couple of different teams at NFA in Norwich CT. |
